Saturday Night Live has recruited three new faces for its upcoming 42nd season. Mikey Day, Alex Moffat and Melissa Villaseñor have joined the cast of the long-running sketch show, NBC announced Monday.

Day has been a writer on the series since 2013, but this will be his first season as a featured player. The Groundlings member also acted as a head writer and cast member on Maya & Marty, the Lorne Michaels-produced variety series that starred Maya Rudolph and Martin Short.

Moffat is a comedian from Chicago who already has one political impression under his belt: he starred in the two-person musical Hill n' Bill, in which he played Bill Clinton.

SNL confirms returning cast for Season 42

Villaseñor appeared on America's Got Talent in 2011, and now shows off her spot-on impressions on her YouTube channel and Facebook page. She previously auditioned for SNL in 2009 and managed to score a callback, but ultimately failed to make the cast.

"SNL is one of the main reasons why I started comedy at 15 and I pray to be there someday when I am ready and have even more to offer," she wrote at the time.

Day, Moffat and Villaseñor will replace Taran Killam, Jay Pharoah and Jon Rudnitsky, who were all let go ahead of the new season.

Saturday Night Live returns Oct. 1 at 11/10c on NBC.
