Sarah Shahi Will Return to Chicago Fire

Severide's (Taylor Kinney) old flame, Renée (Sarah Shahi), is headed back to Chicago Fire this season!

Entertainment Weekly reports that Shahi will return to the Chicag0-verse for a three-episode arc at the end of Season 6. However, if you're hoping she'll return to declare her undying love for Severide... you may be out of luck. Apparently Renée will return seeking some fire expertise for a case she's working on, which is why she'll reach out to her ex. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like her timing will be great for Severide, so drama is sure to ensue.

Renée first appeared on Chicago Fire in Season 1 when Firehouse 51 rescued her from a car accident. Her relationship with Severide didn't last very long, and it had a pretty messy ending when Renée ended up pregnant with another man's child. Given how much time has passed since they last met though, here's hoping they can bury the hatchet.

Chicago Fire returns Thursday, March 1 at 10/9c on NBC.
