Following a record-breaking premiere, TLC's Sarah Palin's Alaskasuffered a serious ratings drop for its second episode, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Ratings: Sarah Palin's Alaska becomes best launch in TLC history

The docu-series, which follows the former governor and her family, fell 40 percent to 3 million viewers on Sunday, with only 85,000 in the adults 18-49 demographic. The median age of the show is 57 — 15 years older than the network's average.
The show opened to nearly 5 million viewers last week, becoming the best launch in TLC history.
