A decade after Sex and the City ended, Sarah Jessica Parker will play yet another New York woman struggling with romance. Parker is returning to HBO for a new half-hour comedy Divorce, Deadline reports.

The actress will star as Frances, who discovers that a fresh start isn't as easy as she expected after deciding to end her marriage. Thomas Haden Church will play Frances' husband Robert, Molly Shannon will play her high-strung friend Diane and Talia Balsam will play her good friend Dallas.

This will be Parker's first TV series since Sex and the City finished its run in 2004. Since then, her only television credits were three episodes of Glee. Parker was also previously attached to star in the true crime thriller Busted, about two journalists who uncover corruption in Philadelphia's narcotics force.
