Like husband, like wife!

A week after Jason Jones announced he was leaving The Daily Show for TBS, his wife Samantha Bee is following suit.

The Daily Show fan favorite will host a new comedy series on the channel described as "a platform for Bee to apply her smart and satirical point of view to current and relevant issues," according to Thursday's announcement. The show is currently in the early stages of development.

Bee will executive-produce the series with her husband, Jones. The duo are also both executive-producing the untitled scripted comedy series Jones will star in, which was inspired by their own experiences.

"We're thrilled to have Sam join Jason at TBS and really make this a family affair. We actually have their kids coming in next week to pitch us animation," Brett Weitz, executive vice president of original programming for TBS, joked in a statement. "Like her fans around the country, we absolutely adore everything about Sam, from her straight-faced sarcasm and ruthless wit to her uncanny ability to mine comedy gold from just about any awkward situation. After watching Sam's work for years, we knew that her distinctive humor and talent belong at the front of her own show."

Bee has been with The Daily Show since 2003, and will continue to do occasional pieces for the Comedy Central staple until production begins on her TBS show.

In addition to Bee and Jones, Jon Stewart is set to step down from the anchor desk sometime this year.
