The CW has given an eight-episode order to 13, an unscripted series from feature director Sam Raimi (The Evil Dead, Spider-Man) and reality producer Jay Bienstock (Survivor, The Apprentice). Although the project was originally developed years ago under the title House of Horrors, Variety says the premise remains the same: Horror-themed challenges will eliminate players one by one, until a winner is left standing amid all the Karo syrup/"bloodshed." Still, it is likely to induce less cringing than Paris' new show.13 is being eyed for a summer launch date.
