Royal Pains Renewed for Eighth and Final Season

USA announced on Thursday that Royal Pains will return for an eighth and final season beginning Wednesday, May 18.

The eighth season will see the HankMed team travel to the Hamptons and Hong Kong as they cross their 100th episode milestone.

"Under the direction of talented showrunners Michael Rauch and Andrew Lenchewski, our entire ensemble cast led byMark Feuerstein, and amazing crew, Royal Pains took viewers on a remarkable, unforgettable journey for eight wonderful seasons," said NBC Universal President Chris McCumber. "While summer in the Hamptons may never be the same, this last season promises to be an epic ride."

The eighth season will have to see everyone unite as their personal and professional lives threaten to tear them in different directions. "After years in the Hamptons as everyone's favorite concierge doctor, Hank (Feuerstein) must decide if his professional fulfillment equals his personal fulfillment. Evan (Paulo Costanzo) and Paige (Brooke D'Orsay) endure challenging marital decisions and must examine what family really means to them," reads the season's logline.

Christine Ebersole and Cloris Leachman will also appear in the season as special guest stars.

Royal Pains returns Wednesday, May 18 at 10/9c on USA.
