A role at one time eyed by Tom Cruise, the big-screen's Iron Man will actually arrive in the form of Robert Downey Jr., the Hollywood Reporter reports. In the Marvel Comics character's first feature foray, to be directed by Jon Favreau and to start filming in February, Downey will portray Tony Stark, a billionaire industrialist/genius inventor who escapes an abduction by constructing and inhabiting a high-tech suit of armor. "High-tech," in today's world, meaning it can play streaming video of The Office and wirelessly download "London Bridge" from iTunes.
