The Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Casts Reveal Their Ideal Crossover

We've got some bad news, KJ...

The second that Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was announced fans began wondering how it could potentially crossover with its companion series Riverdale on The CW. The character of Sabrina often interacts with Archie and his friends within the comic book universe, so it shouldn't be too hard to bring the worlds together, right?

It's a little more complicated on TV because Sabrina is on Netflix and Riverdale lives on The CW, which means there's a lot of paperwork to be handled behind the scenes and some very complicated timeline management to tackle on-screen. However, it's a dream of Sabrina and Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa to have the shows share a universe, even if it hasn't come to fruition just yet.

Well, TV Guide got anxious and didn't want to wait for official word of a crossover. When speaking with the casts of both shows at NYCC earlier this month, we asked who they'd like to see in their ideal crossover, and it already seems like a big love fest between these crews.

With the exception of Madchen Amick, who wants to see her old roommate Lucy Davis make a trip to Riverdale, most of The CW cast is waiting for the half-witch herself, Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka), to cast her spell on them. KJ Apa separated from the pack to say he'd love to hang out with Chance Perdomo, who plays Sabrina's cousin Ambrose in the Netflix series, in a scene.

Unfortunately, when we asked Perdomo the same question, he wasted no time in saying his ideal crossover would be with the one and only Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse). He even got Ross Lynch on board with his answer, but Madame Satan (Michelle Gomez) would love to tango with Alice Cooper (Amick).

Apa doesn't have to feel too bad though because Shipka, Davis and Miranda Otto took the question one step further and cooked up an entire storyline for Archie in which he comes to steal Sabrina's familiar Salem.

"He's a cat thief," Shipka explained. "He has a weird cat fetish, Archie does. He tries to steal all the cats."

That's less unsettling than the Weird Sisters descending on Riverdale. Wait, that's our ideal crossover. How do we make that happen? Guess we'll have to wait for Season 2 of Sabrina, which is currently in production in Vancouver.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is now streaming on Netflix and Riverdale continues Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW.

(Full disclosure: TV Guide is owned by CBS, one of The CW's parent companies)
