Rihanna Donates $1.75 Million to Barbados Hospital in Late Grandmother's Honor

Rihanna has donated $1.75 million dollars to a Barbados hospital in honor of her late grandmother, E! News reports. "This was my way of giving back to Barbados, in a form of philanthropy, by assisting the [Queen Elizabeth Hospital] in its continued modernization program," Rihanna said in a statement. Rihanna's grandmother Clara "Dolly" Braitwaite died in June from cancer. The donation in her memory will go to the radiology department at the hospital, which will be renamed The Clara Braithwaite Centre for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine.
