Ahead of the show's New Year's Eve marathon on Comedy Central, some of the cast of Reno 911!reunited for a holiday-themed PSA that basically boils down to this: don't call the cops on Christmas.

Lt. Jim Dangle (Thomas Lennon) opens the segment in his signature short shorts by announcing, "We here at the Reno Sheriff's Department know that the worst part of the holiday is spending time with your family ... If you weren't able to get out of spending time with your relatives this holiday season, we have some tips on how to get through it peacefully so things don't escalate, and you don't end up having to call on us."

That's when Deputy Trudy (Kerri Kenney-Silver) chimes in with, "Once we've scarfed down our Christmas pudding and slipped into our house pants, the last thing we want to do is come break up a fight between you and your toothless cousin Ricky over who's gonna drive grandma to her dialysis appointment next week."

Travis Jr. (Robert Ben Garant) and Garcia (Carlos Alazraqui) then step in to help demonstrate exactly how to deescalate a disagreement over small squabbles that arise out of inanity like, say, passing the butter. (Side note: Where was all of this holiday survival intel on Thanksgiving?!)

Of course, the instructional doesn't quite go to plan because this is Reno, and Trudy's forced to break out the taser to calm the fellas down.

"F--k it, just call the fire department," she concludes with a sigh.

This isn't the last time the Reno 911! quartet will be back together for some bananas bonus content -- there'll also be more of these holiday sketches in-between Comedy Central's New Year's Eve marathon of the cult classic show from 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 31 to 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1. Here's a sneak peek at some of the new material which involves bits like freeing prisoners from that sex dungeon as a way to turn over a new leaf in 2019.

Cue the inevitable flaily hands over the idea of a reboot because, yep, they've all still clearly got it.
