Someone new is going to be calling the shots on Ray Donovan.

Ann Biderman, who created the Showtime drama, is stepping down as showrunner after two seasons, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sources tell the magazine that sizable financial overruns on the series are to blame, but Biderman will remain involved as a creative consultant. Ray Donovan was renewed last week and will begin production on Season 3 early next year.

Negotiations are reportedly underway with another one of the series' writers and executive producers, David Hollander, to take over. Hollander is also behind shows such as A&E's The Cleaner and CBS' The Guardian.

Starring Liev Schreiber and Jon Voight, Ray Donovan wraps its second season in September.

Biderman is also known for creating Southland and her Emmy-winning work on NYPD Blue.
