Game of Thrones' Season 4 bowed to record numbers Sunday.
The opener drew a series-high 6.6 million viewers, making it HBO's most-watched program since The Sopranos' series finale in 2007, which drew 11.9 million. That's up from Season 3's premiere, which garnered 4.4 million, and the show's previous record, 5.5 million for the sixth episode of Season 3.

The series premiere of Silicon Valley followed with 2 million viewers, the biggest debut for a half-hour show on HBO since Hung in 2009. Veep's third season opened to 955,000, down slightly from last season's premiere.Elsewhere, Turn premiered to a respectable 2.1 million viewers on AMC, andShameless' shocking Season 4 finale drew a season-high 1.93 million. House of Lies ended its season with own season high of 731,000.On broadcast, the ACM Awards on CBS dominated with 14.1 million total viewers and a 3.3 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic. All programs on NBC, ABC and Fox were down except for Family Guy (4.7 million, 2.3) and Once Upon a Time (6.7 million, 2.2).
