Question: Do you know how long the black-and-white Western The Wide Country ran back in the 1960s? The stars were Earl Holliman and Andrew Prine and was about these two brothers on the rodeo circuit. Also, any chance these episodes might be available anywhere? Televisionary: The NBC series ran for a year, beginning in September 1962. As you say, Mitch Guthrie (Police Woman's Holliman) was a bronco-riding star who wanted a better life for his younger brother Andy (Prine). As far as I know, there are two volumes of episodes available on home video; check with your favorite online or local retailer.
