The Season 5 finalist, often remembered as the contestant with the ginormous ego and nails-on-a-chalkboard voice, was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon after attacking her musician fiancé Zak Penley, 28, with her pet cat, according to the New York Post.
"It was a miscommunication," the 26-year-old told the newspaper after she was released without bail from Brooklyn Supreme Court on Wednesday morning. "Fights happen, and that's that."
The scuffle began around 7 am Wednesday, sources told The Post, when Kenley threw one of couple's pet cats onto her fiancé.
She also hit him with a laptop and three apples and doused him water, police told the newspaper.
"Zak blew this out of proportion in the police report," Kenley said. "It was a break-up that went badly. He got what he wanted. I broke up with him. I just thought that we weren't ready to get married."
Perhaps because her name would have been Kenley Penley.
