Pretty Little Liars' Roma Maffia Reveals How She'd Like to Appear on The Perfectionists

The mysterious world of Pretty Little Liars will live on in the spin-off The Perfectionists, which will center around a different group of friends made up of Alison (Sasha Pieterse), Mona (Janel Parrish), newcomer Ava (Sofia Carson) and several currently unnamed guys who are slated to be more than just potential love interests.

With the project still in early development, it's unclear which PLL alums will make their way over to the spin-off but we know of at least one interested police officer. Roma Maffia, who played whip-smart detective Linda Tanner on the Freeform series, says she'd like to reprise her role with one condition: don't change a thing about her.

"I'd keep Det. Tanner just the way she is. There's nothing to change. She's perfect," Maffia tells TV Guide. But if there had to be something different, Maffia offered up a killer suggestion. "Maybe we find out that she's turned bad," she added.

The Perfectionists Adds Descendants Alum Sofia Carson

By the time PLL ended, Tanner had become one of the show's most well-liked characters. But according to Maffia, things didn't start out that way, which took her by surprise. "I had no idea that she would not be liked," she explained. "I thought, 'How can you not like someone who's trying to solve a murder?' I was totally baffled by the reaction and still am. They're like, 'You're so mean!'"

To be fair, Tanner had to be tough on the girls in order to figure out who killed Darren Wilden (Bryce Johnson). But once they started opening up about the mysterious "A," she turned out to be one of their strongest allies. If given the chance, there's no doubt she'd be just as helpful to Alison and Mona on The Perfectionist.

The question is, will she get that opportunity? We sure hope so!
