A number of TV stations owned by NBC or affiliated with the Peacock network now plan to preempt Major League Baseball's Tuesday night divisional playoff game between the Yankees and the Braves to telecast the first of three presidential debates between George W. Bush and Al Gore, according to Variety. NBC had originally planned to carry MLB instead of the political pingpong match but rethought the strategy and is now offering both feeds to its stations.
