The signatures of support keep rolling in

Of all the pilots to get passed on by their network, The CW's decision not to move forward with its Supernatural spin-off Wayward Sisterswas one of the most surprising of all. Consider: Supernatural has been an anchor series for the network for 13 seasons (and counting), and the backdoor pilot that aired garnered relatively good reviews.

Instead of allowing Wayward Sisters to fade into the cancellation bin oblivion, however, the team behind the would-be series have been busy rallying fans to petition The CW to change their minds. After all, in the world of television, it's never too late for a show to come through if there's enough of an audience interest (see also: Brooklyn Nine-Nineand Timeless).

As of this writing, more than 28,000 people have signed a Change.org petition to encourage the network to pick up the Wayward Sisters, with the encouragement of some of the creatives and cast members.

After a wild week in TV news, it's certainly worth a shot to crowdsource such a demand so maybe all hope isn't lost just yet.
