Peter Krause Joins Shonda Rhimes' The Catch and Now We're Even More Excited

Peter Krause has booked his first post-Parenthood gig.

Krause has landed the lead role on The Catch, ABC's midseason thriller from Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Krause will play Kieran Booth, a longtime con man who uses other people's money to finance his lavish lifestyle. The Six Feet Under alum is taking over the part from Damon Dayoub, who played Kieran in the pilot but later left the project. The pilot will be re-shot with Krause in the role.

The Catch stars Mireille Enos (The Killing) as Alice Vaughan, a fraud investigator who learns that she's the victim of a fraud herself, at the hands of her fiancé Kieran.

The role of Kieran's wife is also being recast, after One Tree Hill's Bethany Joy Lenz left the show.

The Catch premieres midseason and will air Thursdays at 10/9c on ABC.
