Peaky Blinders Season 5 has set a premiere date. The gangster family drama returns Oct. 4 on Netflix.

The fifth season of Peaky Blinders finds the world thrown into turmoil by the financial crash of 1929. When Tommy Shelby MP (Cillian Murphy) is approached by a charismatic politician with a bold vision for Britain, he realizes that his response will impact not only the future of his family but that of the entire nation.

A trailer for the season introduces that new threat, Oswald Mosley (Sam Claflin), the leader of the British Union of Fascists who takes an ominous interest in Tommy. As Tommy adjusts to his new role in Parliament, Mosley is shown rallying his high society supporters as a crowd of street protesters demand his ouster, so it looks like he's going to have his own struggles to deal with.

Peaky Blinders also stars Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Sophie Rundle, Finn Cole, Kate Phillips, Natasha O'Keeffe, Aidan Gillen, Jack Rowan, Ned Dennehy, and Ian Peck.

Anya Taylor-Joy and Brian Gleeson also join the cast this season.

Peaky Blinders Season 5 premieres Friday, Oct. 4 on Netflix.
