Lost, Breaking Bad, Entourage and YouTube were among the 36 recipients of the prestigious Peabody Awards.
"The works recognized by the Peabody Board this year not only reflect great diversity of content and genre, but also true technical innovation and the varied roles of new distribution systems," said Peabody Director Horace Newcomb.
Because of the "changing media environment," websites were up for consideration for the first time. In addition to YouTube, the New York Times' website and the Onion News Network earned nods.
The Peabodys, which honors the best in electronic media, will hand out the awards on May 18 at a ceremony to be hosted by Brian Williams.
