Outlander Season 5 Gets 2020 Premiere Date

Your prayers have been answers, Outlander fans! We finally have a Season 5 premiere date.

Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan hopped on the Outlander Instagram on Thursday to officially announce the date for the show's Season 5 premiere, and it's actually a lot sooner than we expected! The new season will premiere on Feb. 16, which means we've only got 171 days to go -- yes, we're counting.

This news comes just days after we got our first look at Season 5 in a Starz sizzle reel. Though the scene was only a short tease, we did get to see Jamie and Claire standing on that majestic cliff overlooking Fraser's Ridge, gearing up for what's sure to be another epic adventure. Said adventure will surely put them at odds with several other characters, not to mention the ever-present tension between the British army and the American colonists. As if Claire and Jamie didn't have enough problems, the American Revolution is looming large in everyone's futures.

See you guys in February; we'll just be here... waiting.
