10 Reasons Outlander's Fergus Is an International Treasure

Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) have made a lot of friends in the second season of Outlander as they attempt to rewrite history -- but none have wormed deep into the hearts of fans as well as Fergus (Romann Berrux).

The pint-sized pickpocket, who Jamie picked up at the Parisian brothel to help intercept messages meant for Bonnie Prince Charlie (Andrew Gower, has gone from informant to the Frasers' surrogate son. His unwavering loyalty to the show's central couple has made him an essential asset to their plight and honestly, he's the cutest kid you've ever seen.

Maybe it's all the time he spent in the brothel, but Fergus knows how to charm the ladies. Unfortunately, Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix) isn't so eager to take advice from a pre-teen thief.

Trying to overwrite history can often be tedious and heartbreaking, which is why it is such a relief to have a young boy who understands how to have fun even at the most tense of times. Thanks Fergus, for knowing that sometime we really need a laugh.

Fergus wasn't willing to let Jamie go off to battle without him, but he was manly enough to admit that the gruesome nature of war was too much for him when they returned back to camp. He may have scarred us by putting himself in the middle of danger, but we're glad to see that the horrors he witnessed didn't completely turn his gentle heart to stone.
