The show might be coming to an end, but it's clear that Orange Is the New Black's legacy and impact will live on for years to come. Ahead of the show's final season, Netflix has announced it has created The Poussey Washington Fund, named after the character played by Samira Wiley who died in Season 4, to help women both inside and outside of prison.

In a video released ahead of Season 7, Wiley explains The Poussey Washington Fund will support non-profit advocacy groups and support women. "We've been honored to tell these stories about these characters and we've learned firsthand that the system is failing women both inside and outside prison walls. The fund will help all of us keep the Orange legacy living on long after the show is over," she said.

A fictional version of the fund, created by Taystee (Danielle Brooks), appears in the final season of the show. It helps women get back on their feet after they've been released from prison. "Taystee recognized an opportunity to make a difference for her fellow inmates, and we saw no reason why we couldn't launch our own initiative to have an effect in the real world," creator Jenji Kohan explained at the show's final season premiere, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The organizations that the fund will help include A New Way of Life: Reentry Project, Anti Recidivism Coalition, College & Community Fellowship, Freedom For Immigrants, Immigrant Defenders Law Center, The National Council for Incarcerated and Formerly Incarcerated Woman and Girls, unPrison Project, and Women's Prison Association.

You can donate to the fund right now.

Season 7 of Orange Is the New Black premieres on Netflix Friday, July 26.
