Nina Dobrev has already played three different characters on The Vampire Diaries, and now she'll play yet another on the show's popular spin-off The Originals, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

The writers are finally going to pay off a story line that was first introduced in Season 3 of The Vampire Diaries. If you can remember back that far (and kudos to you if you do, because a hell of a lot has happened since then, and I need a color-coded flowchart to keep it all straight), you may recall the name Tatia once being dropped in a conversation between the Mikaelson brothers.

Tatia was the woman whom Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) both loved (hmm, where have I heard that before?) but who was killed by their mother, the witch Esther, to prevent Klaus from becoming a hybrid. She's the original doppelgänger, and apparently it's finally time to meet her.

The character will appear opposite both brothers via flashbacks in The Originals' fifth episode, which is slated to air Monday, Nov. 3.

Are you excited to meet Tatia or are you annoyed that there's yet another doppelgänger?

The Originals returns Monday, Oct. 6 at 8/7c on The CW.

(Full Disclosure: TVGuide.com is owned by CBS, one of The CW's parent companies.)
