Nostalgia is the name of the game for Nickelodeon at San Diego Comic-Con this year — but the good news is that you can join in from home too.
The network announced Wednesday that it's adding Double Dare to its Comic-Con lineup, which already includes the classics Rugrats, Hey Arnold! and Legends of the Hidden Temple. Double Dare's original host Marc Summers will host a special live edition of the show on Friday, July 22 at the San Diego Convention Center in the middle of Comic-Con.
Fans can watch along from home on The Splat's Facebook page beginning at 9:30 p.m. PT. The live show will have contestants tackle obstacles like the Wringer, Down the Hatch, the Human Hamster Wheel, and the legendary Double Dare Nose. The event corresponds with the game show's 30th anniversary. (It premiered on Nickelodeon in 1986 and ran until 1993, with a brief reboot in 2000.)
If the live show isn't enough, Nickelodeon will continue the Double Dare celebration with "Double Dare Week," during which episodes of Double Dare, Family Double Dare and Double Dare 2000 will be shown on Teen Nick starting July 25 at 10/9c.
