Report: Nick Gordon Barred from Visiting Bobbi Kristina in the Hospital

Nick Gordon, who refers to himself as Bobbi Kristina Brown's husband, is reportedly not allowed to visit her in the hospital, where she remains on life support.

"At the moment, he's not. And he's taking legal action in that matter to get visits to see Krissy right now," Bobbi Kristina's cousin Jerod Brown told Atlanta's WXIA-TV.

However, a statement from Gordon's lawyer denies Jerod's claim. "In response to reports that Nick Gordon is taking legal action, he would like it to be clear, he is not," attorney Randy Kessler said in a statement toPeople. "Mr. Gordon's only concern is the recovery of Bobbi Kristina. He remains in constant prayer for his companion and he hopes to be reunited with her soon."

Gordon's relationship with Bobbi Kristina's family had been strained prior to her hospitalization on Jan. 31. In 2014, Bobbi Kristina's aunt Marion Houston accused Gordon of stalking her, threatening her and obtained a restraining order against him.

Police have launched a criminal investigation into Bobbi Kristina's case, wherein Whitney Houston and Bobby' Brown's daughter was discovered face-down in a bathtub. According to reports, Gordon is at the center of the investigation and there are rumors of "foul play."

But for now, Jerod is acting as a mediator between Gordon and the rest of the family. "At this moment right now, I'm not in the business of pointing fingers," Jerod said. "Right now everyone is innocent until proven guilty to me. Only thing I care about is the well-being of my cousin."
