A new trailer for the third and final season of HBO's The Newsroom indicates the series will cover actual news events during the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings, as well as a fictionalized version of the WikiLeaks scandal.
The teaser shows Will McAvoy (Jeff Daniels) up in arms about the (mis)information coming via social media in the wake of the bombings, as well as Neal (Dev Patel) and the rest of the News Night team struggling with how or whether to report information that he may have obtained illegally. And there's minimal Maggie (Alison Pill), which is always a bonus.

On the relationship front, Don (Thomas Sadoski) and Sloan (Olivia Munn) are trying to figure out where they stand, and it looks like Reese (Chris Messina) will have a heart-to-heart with MacKenzie (Emily Mortimer) about her feelings towards Will.
