Can people really be manipulated into committing murder? That's the question raised in Netflix's gripping new reality special, The Push.

Watch the drama unfold in the heart-stopping trailer as psychological illusionist Derren Brown places unsuspecting individuals in stressful scenarios with the goal of figuring out the secrets behind compliance and social obedience. As chaos ensues, participants will find themselves confronted with authority and pushed to their limits so that natural instincts kick in and we see whether or not they'll commit heinous acts simply because they're told to.

Judging from the preview, the show -- which feels like a cross between the horror film Saw and the prank show Impractical Jokers -- will explore what it means to be human and how we react to societal pressures. Brace yourselves, this one isn't for the faint of heart.
