Netflix unveiled a first look at new series The Crown at CES on Wednesday. The show, which will begin streaming at a date to be announced later in the year, tells the story of the early years of Queen Elizabeth II's monarchy. Claire Foy stars as the Queen, with Matt Smith as Prince Phillip, John Lithgow as Winston Churchill, Victoria Hamilton as the Queen Mother and Jared Harris as George VI.

The 10-episode series is written by Peter Morgan, who previously wrote about Her Majesty's later years with the script for the 2006 film The Queen, and directed by three-time Oscar-nominee Stephen Daldry.
