Netflix and NBC Team Up for Two Pre-Olympics Hype Specials
Team USA will get their close-up on the streaming network
Netflix is teaming up with NBC Olympics to hype up audiences for the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.
Two pre-Olympics specials, titled Go For The Gold and Meet Team USA, will land on the digital platform on Monday and will be available to Netflix subscribers throughout the games, which run from Feb. 8 through Feb. 25. Per Deadline, the features will cover the hopeful athletes with appearances by past Team USA champions, including winter gold medalists Shaun White and Lindsey Vonn.
The XXIII Olympics will mark the first time South Korea has hosted with the Winter Games and just the second time the nation has hosted any Olympics event. The last time the country served as host for the games was in 1988.
