Netflix Has Fake New Year's Eve Countdown Videos to Trick Your Kids Into Going to Bed Early

Because staying in is the new going out

If there's any group of people who know staying in is the new going out, it's parents -- especially on New Year's Eve -- and if anybody knows this best, it's the folks over at Netflix. The streaming giant's latest research says that 77 percent of U.S. parents would rather stay in that go whoop it up as the ball drops. To help parents end the family party at a reasonable hour, Netflix has once again released a slate of New Year's countdown videos, tailor-made for parents to trick their tykes into hitting the hay before midnight.

The new countdown videos are themed to 14 popular children's programs, including Boss Baby, Fuller House and Alexa & Katie. The videos can be found by searching for "New Year's Eve countdown" or for the individual show titles in Netflix. See the complete list of countdown video options below:
