At the end of NCIS' Season 14 premiere, Special Agent Alex Quinn (Jennifer Esposito) recommended Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), one of her former students at the Law Enforcement Training Center, as a new addition to the team. And it looks like they're going to be colleagues, as Quinn herself gets a job offer from Gibbs (Mark Harmon), too.
Quinn had high praise for Torres even at the beginning of the episode, describing the former deep undercover operative as a brilliant yet volatile agent. And she should know: we'll soon learn that Quinn and Torres share a connection that goes way beyond teacher/student.
"She was the instructor that trained him and assigned him to be an undercover agent ... but there may be other history between Alex Quinn and Nick Torres that eventually will resurface," Valderrama teases. The actor didn't want to give away too much of the upcoming storyline, but did add that the two aren't just "like-minded," they also definitely have a bit of history together.
Hmm... what could their connection possibly be? And is it possible that not even Torres and Quinn know about their shared past yet? As Valderrama notes: "We know he has a sister, and that will be one of his reasons why he returns to Washington, DC. But other than that, we know nothing. We don't know where his parents are from. We don't know how he grew up. We don't know anything."
