The first official trailer for NashvilleSeason 5 is here, and fans can rest assured that the show isn't going to tone down the drama with its move to CMT.

In addition, CMT is offering fans a holiday treat: The network has announced plans to broadcast the first hour of the Season 5 premiere on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 9/8c, three whole weeks before the full two-hour premiere airs on Thursday, Jan. 5 at 9/8c. (The sneak peek of the premiere, as with all new Nashville episodes, will be available on Hulu the day after it airs on CMT.)

When the season kicks off, Rayna (Connie Britton) is experiencing financial troubles at Highway 65, and her frustrations are boiling over into her home life with Deacon (Charles Esten). Elsewhere, Juliette's (Hayden Panettiere) road to recovery after her plane crash has a ripple effect throughout the Nashville music community and causes Rayna to reevaluate her own life.
