TBS has canceled original comedy My Boys after four seasons, a network rep says.

The series, starring Jordana Spiro as a Chicago sportswriter looking for love, was one of TBS' first original comedy series when it started in 2006.

Although the series developed a cult following over the years, My Boys was never a huge hit for TBS. Season 4's final two episodes on Sept . 12 attracted an average of 879,000 total viewers and 689,000 total viewers, respectively, and a 0.4 rating in the 18-to-49-year-old demographic.

News of the cancelation comes only a two months after series stars Spiro and Kyle Howard were forced to exit other projects because of their obligations to TBS and the show.

Love Bites bumped off fall schedule

Spiro originally starred in NBC's upcoming anthology series Love Bites as the friend of main character Annie (Becki Newton). Spiro's role has since been written out of the show, and Love Bites will now premiere sometime during midseason.

Howard starred in the original pilot for another NBC series, the midseason relationship comedy Perfect Couples. He has since been replaced by Kyle Bornheimer.
