Glee Bosses Murphy and Falchuk Sell Drama Pilot to FX

Glee co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk are reuniting with FX for a new drama pilot called American Horror Story, the network announced Thursday. Both served as executive producers on the network's previous Emmy-winning drama Nip/Tuck.

Details are scarce about the show. "American Horror Story is a wildly brilliant original series. Ryan and Brad Falchuk, who created it together, are evil geniuses and, in the spirit of the great Louis Armstrong, 'Hello, Dolly, well hello, Dolly, it's so nice to have you back where you belong.'" FX president John Landgraf said in a statement.

Murphy will direct the pilot in April and if it's picked up as a series, production will begin in late spring in anticipation of a fall premiere.

So what does this mean for their hit Fox show Glee? Murphy says fret not. "Fans can rest assured that we haven't taken our eyes off that ball for a second. We've broken the stories for the season's remaining episodes and we've got big things planned for our little glee club as it strives to make it past Regionals to the all-important Nationals competition in New York City," he said.
