According to Entertainment Weekly, the VMAs will now air from 8-10 pm/ET, hopefully clearing any competition with Obama's speech, expected to air after 10 pm/ET.Last year's VMAs received a record-breaking 12.4 million viewers, solidifying it as the most-watched telecast on cable that week.
