USA has postponed Wednesday night's scheduled finale of Mr. Robot, due to "a graphic scene similar in nature to today's tragic events in Virginia," the network said in a statement. The network will be showing an encore of the season's penultimate episode in its place.

On Wednesday morning, WDBJ7 reporter Alison Parker and photographer Adam Ward were fatally shot while filming a live interview in Virginia.

"Out of respect to the victims, their families and colleagues, and our viewers, we are postponing tonight's episode. Our thoughts go out to all those affected during this difficult time," the statement continued.

Instead, Mr. Robot's Season 1 finale will air one week later on Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 10/9c in its entirety.
