Mr. Robot Teases Global Economic Collapse in Season 2 Trailer

USA released a new viral promo on Twitter today for the new season of Mr. Robot, painting an eerie picture of the global economy in shambles. We got a glimpse of this new reality in the season finale -- a world on the verge of switching to a cash-based economy not as reliant in digital code after fsociety's infamous hack.

We still don't know what happened to Elliot (Rami Malek), who has no recollection of what happened in the three days the hack took place. Not that this video clears any of that up: all we know now is that authorities are on the hunt for Tyrell Wellick (Martin Wallström), who they apparently have now come to believe is one of the masterminds behind the hack.

The Mr. Robot season 2 trailer is the best thing you'll see today.

With the season starting off in an entirely New World Order, we'll be anxiously watching to see if Elliott can piece together what happened, and if any of fsociety's damage can be undone.
