Monday's episode of NBC's The Singing Bee, titled "Girl Power," will pay lip service to, as host Joey Fatone puts it, "girl groups, girl singers and… my favorite subject — girls." Why, oh why do I just know that despite the evening's theme, the show still isn't going to pay its due respect to the one and only Martika? Anyway, all the buzz about Bee seems to be paying off. It retained much of the audience from its America's Got Talent lead-in on Tuesday — Talent drew 10.7 million viewers for a 3.1 rating and a 10 share in adults 18-49, Bee stung 9.8 million for a 3.2 rating and a 9 share — and won its time slot for the Peacock.
