CBS has renewed Mom for a sixth season.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Allison Janney and Anna Faris were among those cast members notified of the renewal at the series' season five wrap party this weekend.

CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl confirmed the news in a statement which read, "Mom has been a linchpin comedy for us over the last several years. It's a fearless series that tackles provocative social issues with laughter and grace, and a large, loyal audience has followed. With gifted talents like Anna and Allison leading a great ensemble cast, and a production team headed by Chuck Lorre, Eddie Gorodetsky, Nick Bakay and Gemma Baker, this series just keeps getting better."

The series is expected to remain in its Thursday night line-up spot, alongside fellow Chuck Lorre-led comedies The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon.
