Miley Cyrus on VF Shoot: "I Was Embarrassed"

Now that the media maelstrom has calmed some, Miley Cyrus is opening up about her hotly debated spring photo shoot for Vanity Fair, which featured the 15-year-old in a more adult light than she'd previously been seen. No matter how ridiculous the firestorm might've been, it still had some impact.In a new interview with Billboard, Cyrus responds to the so-called controversy. "I was embarrassed," she says, adding, "But also it's like, every career thing that I do can't be perfect, and sometimes my decisions are wrong. I think that just makes me even more relatable." Cyrus admits "It still hurts," but insists she's ready to move on. She of course already has multiple, simultaneous projects to keep her moving, including her new album, Breakout, which drops July 22. Cyrus describes the feel as "grown-up" — easily dovetailing with her shoot for VF.
