Michael Strahan: My Gap-Toothed Smile Is Who I Am

Michael Strahan says he almost closed the signature gap in his teeth, but decided that it was who he was. "I was at the dentist having him do mock-ups. I thought about it," the new Live with Kelly and Michael co-host told Elle magazine. "I was in my twenties. I was playing with the Giants. There's so much pressure to be perfect. You can fix everything now. For me, I made the conscious effort to say, 'This is who I am.' I'm not perfect. I don't want to try to be perfect.'

Strahan admits that even his kids wouldn't know who he is without the gap in his teeth, adding, "They'd be like, 'Who is this stranger in the house? Call 911.'"
