On a recent episode of Netflix's talk show Chelsea, Michael Strahan told host Chelsea Handler, "I really haven't missed [Live]." Adding, "But I loved it. Don't get me wrong. I loved it. When you get a break, sometimes you kind of go, 'Wow, I kind of needed it.' I needed a break."The news brings closure to what became the most talked-about story in daytime two months ago when it was revealed Strahan would be leaving the series in order to begin a full-time job on Good Morning America. However, co-host Kelly Ripa was not informed of the departure until minutes before it was announced, which later turned into a very public leave of absence for Ripa that was officially classified as her just taking some previously scheduled vacation time.Watch Jimmy Kimmel grill Kelly Ripa on first Michael Strahan-less Live.Later in April, Ripa finally returned to Live and wished Strahan the best as the search for his replacement got underway. While one has yet to be found, the show is currently featuring a rotating slate of guest hosts that includes Anderson Cooper, Andy Cohen, Josh Groban and Seth Meyers.
