NBC has not announced an official date for the final episode; however, the show will conclude its run before the summer, when Vieira will head to Rio to cover the Olympic games for the network.

Before getting her own show, Vieira was a co-host on The View from 1997 to 2006 and the Today show from 2006 to 2011. She also hosted Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? from 2002 to 2013. The Meredith Vieira Show premiered in September 2014, and switched to a live format in Season 2 as well as adding additional contributors including Lance Bass.
