NBC Cancels Meredith Vieira's Talk Show

NBC has canceled The Meredith Vieira Showafter two seasons, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

"I am so sorry to see our show come to an end after this season, but I am also incredibly proud of the work our staff has done and forever grateful to our supportive viewers," Vieira said in a statement. "We promise to spend our final weeks producing the best broadcast we know how. And have a blast doing so!"

NBC has not announced an official date for the final episode; however, the show will conclude its run before the summer, when Vieira will head to Rio to cover the Olympic games for the network.

Before getting her own show, Vieira was a co-host on The View from 1997 to 2006 and the Today show from 2006 to 2011. She also hosted Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? from 2002 to 2013. The Meredith Vieira Show premiered in September 2014, and switched to a live format in Season 2 as well as adding additional contributors including Lance Bass.
