Mega Buzz: Just How Big Is Hannibal's Midseason Reset?

Who's getting a new job?

Hannibal Lecter has finally been caught, but the story of Hannibal is far from over.

On Saturday's episode (10/9c, NBC), which kicks off the Red Dragon arc by introducing Richard Armitage as Francis Dolarhyde, the story will leap ahead three years. And although some things go back to the status quo -- Jack (Laurence FIshburne) is back at the FBI working with Jimmy Price (Scott Thompson) and Brian Zeller (Aaron Abrams), who make their first appearances this season -- circumstances for other characters have changed considerably.

For starters, Will (Hugh Dancy) is now married and helping raise his wife Molly's (Nina Arianda) son when Jack comes asking for his help hunting "The Tooth Fairy." Elsewhere, Alana (Caroline Dhavernas) has a surprising new job that both comes at the expense of another supporting character and gives her a front-row seat to keep an eye on the now-incarcerated Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen).

As for this new retelling of Red Dragon, Armitage's Dolarhyde doesn't speak at all in his first episode, but he doesn't need words to absolutely chill you to the core. And, perhaps most excitingly, one of the book's passages is brought to life in a way never seen in either of the previous film adaptations.
