Rocker Meat Loaf pulled out of a British concert hours before he was to take the stage because of health problems, Reuters reports.

"We are very sorry to announce that tonight's performance has had to be postponed due to medical reasons afflicting several members of the band," read a statement on the singer's Facebook page Sunday. "Meat and everyone in the band and crew send love and apologies and thanks you for understanding."

The concert which was in Nottingham, has since been rescheduled for Monday, May 20. Meat Loaf, 65, is currently touring Europe on his "Last At Bat" tour, which he claims will be his farewell tour after his various health struggles in recent years. In 2011, he collapsed on stage — an incident he later blamed on asthma — and last year, he underwent knee replacement surgery. He is due to have an operation on his other knee in the near future.

The Nottingham concert was his fifth out of eight British concerts scheduled, and he was expected to take the stage for his next scheduled date Wednesday in Manchester.
