FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

(Friday, 8/7c NBC) In another emotionally charged episode, Principal Tami Taylor finds herself dealing with an emotionally explosive situation when Becky comes to her for advice (at Riggins' urging) regarding her unwanted pregnancy. Family pressures also weigh upon star player Vince, whose addict mother suffers another setback.

EUREKA

(Friday, 9/8c, Syfy) As this whimsical fantasy series returns for a fourth season, preparations are underway for a Founders' Day celebration, and a trip back in time (to 1947, when Eureka was still a military "Camp Eureka") results in some major changes for this remote mountain town populated by top-secret genuises. Life in Eureka may never be quite the same. Not that it was all that normal to begin with.

MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS

(Sunday, 9/8c, PBS; times may vary) David Suchet returns as Agatha Christie's fabled and fussy Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot in one of his most famous cases. When Poirot's journey aboard the luxury train is halted by a snowbank, the savage murder of a mysterious passenger casts suspicion on his fellow travelers (a starry guest cast including Eileen Atkins, Hugh Bonneville and Barbara Hershey).

THE GLADES

(Sunday, 10/9c, A&E) Australian TV hunk Matt Passmore (McLeod's Daughters) joins the ranks of U.S. crime fighters in this new series, as Chicago exile Jim Longworth, a cocky and irreverent detective now pulling bodies from the swamps of his newly adopted Florida small town. He'd rather be playing golf or wooing a beautiful med student (Kiele Sanchez).
