Tangled is heading to TV.
The 2010 animated Disney film about a princess with magical hair will be turned into a cartoon series, with Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi reprising their roles as Rapunzel and Eugene (a.k.a. Flynn Rider). The series will chronicle the events between the feature film and the 2012 short film Tangled Ever After, as Rapunzel gets to know her parents, her kingdom and the people of Corona, and postpones her impending marriage so that she can enjoy a series of adventures.
Moore shared the news on Twitter Wednesday.
Other characters from the film, including Eugene, Pascal and Maximus, will also return for the series. A new character, Cassandra, will be introduced as a tough handmaiden who acts as Rapunzel's confidante.
Production has already begun on the series, which will premiere on the Disney Channel in 2017. Will you watch?
