It's lights out on Starz's Magic City after two seasons, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

As first reported by Deadline.com, Starz has opted not to renew the period drama for a third season, and the series finale will air Friday at 10/9c.

TV businesses we would invest in

"We are tremendously proud of the series and everyone involved," Starz said in a statement. "From the writers, to the cast and crew, it has been an incredible collaboration. This was a story born from Mitch Glazer's singular vision of Miami, the Magic City of his childhood, and we are grateful to him for bringing it to life on Starz. The season's story arc will allow us to deliver a satisfying conclusion to the series, and we thank all the fans who checked in to the Miramar Playa."

Starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Danny Huston and Kelly Lynch, Magic City centered on the mobsters, politicians and entertainers who all came together at a high-end Miami hotel in 1959 shortly after Fidel Castro took over Cuba.

Magic City was renewed for its second season back in 2012, before the series even premiered. However, the drama had a hard time attracting viewers and only grabbed 295,000 viewers in its premiere.
